About Sage Essentials

I’m dedicating this company to my beloved (brother and sister-in-law) Chris and Liz Sage.

Our journey began when they were both diagnosed with two different types of cancer, within less than 6 months of each other.  They allowed me to join their journey, and I started to explore anything to help them and bring some comfort.  I researched hemp and quickly fell down the rabbit hole of a wealth of information.  During their journey, they both utilized hemp products to provide some comfort to counteract the hell of battling cancer 😢.

Unfortunately, most research studies end with verbiage along these lines “Although the literature describes the results of some clinical trials that include the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of CBD, there is an urgent need for further clinical trials to gain a complete picture of the effect of this molecule within the human body.” I deeply feel we all need to encourage and support more clinical studies on the benefits of the hemp plant.

During my research, I identified that many animals have endocannabinoid systems also, and may benefit from CBD.  My understanding is that pets are the same as humans, and not all have the same results with hemp.  However, our family and friends have given our dogs CBD over the last 6 years, for alignments such as cancer, hip dysplasia, joint/muscle problems, inflammation, and anxiety.  We have experienced amongst our pets, a very positive result of providing relief, comfort, and extending their quality of life.

My decision to start this company evolved, when friends and family continue to ask me for guidance.  I’m not comfortable directing them towards products, when I’m not aware of the ingredients or processes utilized.  Additionally, my own desire to utilize hemp products (my own), to assist me with better health, wellness, and balance.

10% of all proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society – Mayo Clinic Cancer Research
